Information Architecture Planning

Architecture workshops are a guided, focused engagement in which Senior Drupal experts work with project stakeholders to identify and understand the key user experience requirements and technical architecture issues that should be solved and documented prior to site development.

Workshops typically require our architect to spend 3-4 days onsite with your team. This multi-day onsite approach allows organizational stakeholders to join as needed without requiring a large group to dedicate themselves full-time to the entire process.

Workshop ActivitiesDrupal Planning

  • Requirements Review
Review the high-level requirements for the system including capabilities and external integrations.

  • Drupal Component Architecture
Identify the major components of the new system and how they can be enabled with Drupal.

  • Drupal Content Architecture
Develop the content architecture, including defining all data models, queries, and workflows for publishing.

  • Deployment Architecture
Tyto works with your team to define the physical architecture for the deployed website to meet the identified performance requirements.

Workshop Deliverables

  • Workshop Report
We create an in-depth report that incorporates the key findings from the workshop, including architecture user experience requirements that will be fundamental to the successful website launch.

  • Wireframes
Initial wireframes for the key pages and content types are included. Often built on-the-fly during our onsite meetings, these provide you with a basic layout that represents the data architecture and allows designers to understanding your display needs.

  • Architecture Blueprint
The architecture document is a large spreadsheet that contains all the technical data needed to build the website. Specifications vary with each website but include these key elements as required:
